NthDegree Lit Labels are a distinct category of Smart Labels that incorporate light into the label. These labels are designed to light up with a variety of power sources, most notably a smartphone using NFC, thereby addressing mass-scale consumerization. An NFC powered lit label features NthDegree’s printed light, along with a 13.56MHz antenna. The light and antenna are printed onto the back side of a paper-thin flexible 4 color label or substrate if printing as an inlay to enhance the aesthetic appeal of premium product labels and high-end packaging. Our proprietary concept of Light and LearnTM is a feature that adds a new dimension to the customer experience by increasing customer engagement by entertainment and storytelling and educating customers.

The ‘Nth-light NFC’ Smart Label can also serve as brand protection by securing against counterfeit products. These labels can be lit up in-store or at home via a smartphone that is NFC enabled, thus adding a new dimension to the customer experience with a simple swipe of a fingertip.
