Lit Credit Card is an innovative concept designed to light up a commercial credit card, thereby disrupting the global Credit Card Industry. The product is a printed LED lamp with an antenna available as an inlay that gets laminated into commercial credit card builds.
Just as Lit Labels, Lit Credit Cards can be powered by a magnetic field from devices such as inductive phone chargers (Qi chargers), contactless payment terminals at the point of sales (POS), and smart phone near field communication (NFC) for powering in wireless mode. Typical contact mode of powering is also available as is executed by conventional card readers.
Applications include banking card branding and brand escalation. Contactless payment promotion will further evolve into security applications with validation of transaction and authentication of identity using light integrated with the card security chip.
Benefits include premium card branding to escalate positioning to the ‘top of the wallet’ branding by creating a distinct differentiation from the rest of the cards.
